・Linear actuator driven by magnetic lead screw

磁気ねじ駆動リニアアクチュエータ A magnetic lead screw (MLS) transmits force without contact. It has elastic property from the magnetic force, therefore, it is expected to apply to robots that need flexibility. In addition, the MLS suitable for driving in a clean environment because it can suppress particle emission. We are developing the MLS which can consist of arc-shape permanent magnets magnetized in a parallel direction and linear actuator driven by the MLS.

・Screw motor

スクリュモータ Screw motor is linear actuator integrated with a magnetic lead screw and rotary motor. It can reduce the number of component and achieve miniaturization. We are developing a magnetic geared screw motor integrated with magnetic gear and screw motor.

・Variable stiffness magnetic lead screw


可変剛性磁気ねじ The stiffness of conventional magnetic lead screws (MLS) is not changed because their values depend on its hardware design. To solve this problem, we proposed a variable stiffness magnetic lead screw which can change the stiffness of its magnetic spring according to actively changing its structure.

・Linear-rotary (Zθ) actuator

  
直動回転(Zθ)アクチュエータ Linear-rotary (Zθ) actuator can generate linear and rotary motion by only one device. For example, it can use in pick and place device. The actuator has a structure integrated with two actuators and contributes to simplification of the structure and downsizing. We are verifying the principle verification using the prototype.

・Linear Vernier actuator without permanent magnet in mover


可動子に永久磁石を用いないリニアバーニアアクチュエータ We are developing a novel linear vernier actuator for musculoskeletal robots. Achievement of low speed and high torque are expected by an operating principle using a harmonic component of magnetic flux. The extension of operation stroke is easy because there is not a permanent magnet in the mover.

・Double gap type linear actuator using transverse flux structure


横磁束構造を用いたダブルギャップ型リニアアクチュエータ Double gap type linear actuator using a transverse flux structure has two stators to achieve high thrust density. The mover consists of a three-phase coil and iron core. The stator consists of laminated iron rings and permanent magnets magnetized in a parallel direction.

・Interior permanent magnet type linear actuator


埋込磁石型リニアアクチュエータ Our proposed interior permanent magnet type linear actuator has a magnetic flux concentrated structure. The mover consists of laminated iron rings and permanent magnets magnetized in a parallel direction. The actuator is excellent in durability, and the effect of demagnetization is small.

・Musculoskeletal system driven by linear actuator


リニアアクチュエータにより駆動する筋骨格系 We proposed the musculoskeletal system driven by linear actuators. The upper limb and lower limb systems were developed. The flexible motion using compliance control and jumping action were achieved.
